Here is a man of color a black American who exemplified the bravery and valor of a United States Marine, whose actions in Viet Nam, that saved lives of his fellow marines at his own peril, may have been snubbed for political reasons.
I hope the many black institutions in this country including the NAACP enter the fight to see this veteran awarded the CMH. IMO a most fitting tribute in this, Black History Month.
