not meaning to be a pessimist, but do you find the times we live in now depressing

the times we live in now are so damned depressing, the way the world is now, the way people behave now...the news stories etc....its hard to resist the urge to top yourself.

And then you find a lovely scent on the breeze; or something good to taste. Or a soft pair of lips or a good book or a song that strikes a new chord inside you; yes, these are burning times, but there's beauty to be found in the bonfire.
