Many Europeans’ view of America
Is that we had some wonderful things come out of the country in the past, and have always been a world leader.
But not so much positive views on the US these days. We seem to be too work obsessed, valuing working ourselves into the ground, favoring big government and big businesses over the good of the people.
We provide little to no public services to people in real need. We are happy to let homelessness run wild while raising prices such that only the wealthy can afford everything, and leaving the majority behind to fend for themselves.
We put poison in our regular everyday food, and make it such that you have to be wealthy in order to afford decent foods. And we do this for profit. Even the healthcare system is setup only for profit of the big businesses.
The general viewpoint seems to be that uncontrolled free market capitalism is even more dangerous than communism. And for that, there is a lot of questioning of morals and general distrust of the US these days.
