I don't know if it is falling apart. But there does seem to be a tendency for it to be being broken apart.
Somehow the UK has to find a way for people to learn to trust each other, for the state to trust the people and the people to trust the state.
It's not perfect anywhere of course but seen from Norway there seems to be a lack of solidarity in the UK compared to the way it felt when I was growing up in Southern England in the '60s and '70s.
So whether it is scaremongering or not something needs to be done.
