Women should all wear ankle tracker tags.

And their husbands and boyfriends should be able to know where they are at all times. It's for their own safety.

I hope you aren't serious.

@Scribbles why?

@DonnaDD it's entirely useless.

We already have cell phones and smartphones with location services. And that does very very little to save people from anything other then wandering off and getting lost...and even them it may not be helpful at all..
And getting lost is usually not a problem for the majority of the population. In fact it's something people do to pets, or persons with certain severe disabilities that result in them impulsively running away and endangering themselves.

Most people have routines. When abused people leave their routine it's to seek out safety. Giving someone the ability to track you who is also statistically the most likely to abuse, murder, prevent you from being safe or going to the police, and/or rape you is NOT safety.

An ankle tag tracker is pretty much the same thing. It's not going to keep the 90 percent of women killed in homicides safe or keep them safe from violence or abuse which is most often from intimate partners, friends, family, or colleagues in familiar locations.

As a personal note, If I had a tracker on me, it would have done nothing useful for me ever and would have prevented nothing. And more then likely would have caused more problems and prevented me from running and finding safety away from the person harming me. Having the ability to track someone only allows you to track them. That's it.

If people wanted tracking to keep women safer, they would consider gps tracking the sexual and violent offenders, or anyone with a restraining order who repeatedly stalks and threatens and Injuries their victim. At least then if they continue to harm others as most do.... it's evidence they were at key locations during an assault or murder timeline after the fact. 🙄

In fact most women are safer alone.

No one is likely to be able to come save you in time or before they disable the tracker entirely in some way anyway.

You have to save yourself. Period.

That may be hard to hear but there it is.
