Once in our history to be blocked was to be shunned from society
It was saying the quality of your personhood is of such low content that you no longer warrant our provision and protection. You should really go die so you can鈥檛 contaminate our gene pool.
On some level we still know this. So when we are blocked on social media, as trite and silly as that is, it triggers that dread and shame that鈥檚 hard wired in our DNA.
