For the most part, yeah two genders (some people have unusual chromosomes though)
But here is the thing - gender expression covers several things. People can choose how they want to express themselves.

The misconception is that trans people are claiming to be a different genetic s3x which they just don't, they just present, and in some cases, do body mods to appear as such.

I have never known a trans person who claims they changed their biological s3x.

So what problem do people have exactly with people wanting to present as the opposite or whatever gender?

People might say it is fake but even if that is true, there are tons of people out there who are fake anyways.
