God, even I think those are some annoying-ass ARAs and I'm a [i]vegan[/i]. It would really suck to be a dog and just have to live your whole life with a ton of pent up sexual feelings just because your human was too squeamish about doing the snippity snap. Fuck that shit.
All that said, the hypocrisy you're saying exists really doesn't. Puppies can't consent to surgery, so us humans have to act as stand-ins for their best judgement. Adult human beings, by contrast, can; our role is not to serve as overbearing lords over their every decision until the day they die.
