Listening To The Wrong People

Humans absorb the information they are regularly exposed to. You go to school to learn how to read, write and do math(s), you develop tastes of artists works that resonate with you. You want to do the things that people who you look up to do. With media in these days that is a cause for concern because we fill our minds with nonsense, identify with singers, actors, youtubers etc.

You sit there wondering why your life is going nowhere, why you are so far from who you wish to be.. then you go to Youtube and listen to Russel Brand, Jordan Peterson or Joe Rogan talk utter nonsense, irrelevant speculations or sometimes vague truths that aren't helpful because they don't offer any real guidance to the problems you face. You look up to people who sit in their rooms recording themselves play video games and don't understand why you are too anxious to ask a store worker where the beans are.

Our heads are filled with identity politics, political correctness or incorrectness, stupid vague philosophies from morons that know how to articulate themselves well and suck us in...

A redirection of media focus is crucial to the stop the ongoing societal decay. Stop putting the spotlight on models with huge asses, people obsessed with arguing about gender pronouns and mentally ill gamers. Start putting the cameras on great engineers, scientists, architects etc. Just people who have useful knowledge to share.

This is mainly a post to myself. We are built of what information we feed ourselves, every wanker has a philosophy these days but they offer precisely nothing to your development. Look in better places.
