Two scuzzy characters in the news
The following two news stories are unrelated, but they followed each other on my phone's news feed this morning, and I kinda threw up my hands in dismay at how sick some people can be.
In Florida, a mother and her 8-year old daughter were shopping in a grocery store when they were approached by Helmuth Kolb, who offered to "buy" the 8-year old for $100,000.
Meanwhile, in Colorado, social worker Robin Niceta was revealed to have had a lovely little scam going. On more than one occasion, when she would go to a home she was assigned to investigate, she would pressure the mother to have sex with her. If the mother refused, Niceta would fabricate false evidence of child abuse and she would perjure herself in court in order to get "revenge" by having the child removed from the home.
Both outstanding citizens are now in custody.
