Why did the media paint Marilyn Monroe as plus sized because of her post baby body?

During her career she maintained being around 118-125 pounds at 5’5”. She only got to 140 pounds after she gave birth.

I have feeling it has something to do with them grasping at straws, trying to justify the whole 'healthy at any size' propaganda. But just a guess. No youre right, thats about average, maybe under average for a woman
