It wasn't "banned", overturning roe vs. wade just upheld the 10th Amendment & de-federalized it.

@wildbill83 Amazing how misinfotmed and dumb these takes are
Fairydust · F
No it was to cause mayhem with the people, they want you arguing with each other. Like vaccinated/unvaccinated, Black Lives Matter….
They don’t want you seeing what’s really going on, just like when the vaccine injuries and deaths started to get bad, the Pfizer results came out. Ukraine and Russia started war. It’s a distraction.
Many can’t see what’s really going on, the media lie, the governments are lying.

It hasn't been banned lol. Even before Roe v Wade was brought in it was legal in some states. Essentially what Roe v Wade did was forcibly compel states traditionally against abortion to facilitate them, and that is entirely undemocratic.
Many of these states are still against abortion so therefore they should be able to dispense with it, especially given how profoundly immoral it is.

You can't force morality through legislation. I think seeing some things will make people more responsible. Humans can use reason to take experiences from others and decide whether they want to deal with the consequences of their actions. Drug problems are hidden by society. Suicide is hidden by society. Nobody wants to say "My son/daughter's death was by suicide. A child when you aren't mature enough or stable enough can be a blessing or it can screw up your life and career for years. It is up to the winds of fate. Witnessing some of the difficulties in life will cause some to assess the risks and weigh that against the gain. I think banning abortion would make some people more responsible, SOME, but not all, and the benefit of a few being more responsible would be outweighed by the drain cause by those who were not responsible. Banning anything has negative consequences as well as good. Nothing banned ever really goes away, it just goes underground.

Yeah, kind of like what Putin and China and North Korea do. Why don't we just microchip all the women with tracking and pregnancy detection chips and put tags in their ears and bells around their necks like cattle?
Putin doesn't have to work on tearing down our (so called) democracy. We're doing it all by ourselves. 🤷🏻🙄

You haven't been paying attention. The court gave the power to control abortion back to the states where it belongs. Some states may ban it but apparently a lot of people are raising hell because they dont want to be responsible.
Shaveit · 61-69, M
It was NOT banned. It is now a state issue not federal and free abortions payed for with federal tax money is gone
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
Since good Catholics only use the rythm method chances are there won't be any change in the number there. Rapists and molesters won't care. Stupidity can't be cured where that is the issue. Equipment failures won't change. Sex workers probably are being careful as they can be for other reasons. And men are not going to pull out like they say they will. I guess we need a pie chart to see what I missed..

@Tastyfrzz my friend who was a sex worker has had 4 abortions.
Nobody ever focusses on more effective birth control ☹.

What I mean is I'm sure she tried but if she had been using an IUD as well as condoms for diseases - she might not be as fucked up as she is right now 🥺

Abortion has not been banned.
Do you think misrepresenting truth is a good idea?

How is it banned? Its legal and available
DCarey · 46-50, M
Where was abortion banned?
The worst part is that banning it will only make it happen more often and result in more people dying you know like God wants.
PaleandPolluted · 36-40, F
No same as the death penalty didn't stop people.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@PaleandPolluted I'd say that capital punishment is very effective...
none of the people we used to hang or electrocute ever committed another crime... 🤔

Control for sure, but not that kind.

@Spunkylama It is interesting as bans seem to be a minority desire
Then again, reasonable restrictions (in my view) are treated with the same degree of hysteria

I think it will certainly make some people reconsider casual sex
And I would like to see more failsafe conception options both promoted and developed
That said I don't think blanket bans are going to stand in any State
