Why do we live in an age where boys want to be girls and girls want to be boys?

I'm not against anyone, just want to know how one may think that he's born in the wrong gender and the grass is always greener on the other side.

Most English boys in the Victorian era wore dresses and long hair. Despite what right-wingers might claim, it didn't "convert" them.

@ElwoodBlues It was convinent, no bo-rics on every corner back then.
I believe they let it grow and gave away locks of hair, sometimes, in lockets or other jewelry.
