Is owning a house now a thing in the past?

My dream which is litterally the dream of every living person is to own/ rent my own house or condo. Now with the prices of everything going up I realized that this is just a fansty and I'll probably be living with my parents until I'm 40 and or struggling to provide the basics for living.

I tried investing. I invested 200 dollars. Lost it all. I only had less than two dollars left. I decided I'm never going to invest in anything ever again.

I'm tired of this. Everything I try always fails. It's to the point where I don't even want to try anymore because I already know the result

Unless your rich or have a partner and both have well paid jobs it is a dream . Housing is gonna keep rising because rich people are buying them to rent out and make money . As long as it goes on and demand stays high so will house prices . Until a law is brought out that states a family can only own one home and there is a glutt in housing then things will change . The law is also allowing them to ask high rents so they keep buying knowing they can make a good living out of it . Laws and attitudes have to change or nothing ever will .
