What do you do if you see your neighbors car door left open?

I notice they leave their door open sometimes & I always ask myself if I should knock on the door & tell them in case theres a sensitive car alarm.. or just close it myself & hope there's no alarm so they don't think I'm a criminal 😂

I always just close it myself & luckily there's no alarm. I still think about how awkward it would be to explain if there was though lol

Wait a second, they forget to close it on a regular basis? Do they have Alzheimer's or something?

I mean okay we all have occasional brain farts but forgetting to close the car door enough that a neighbor notices? 🤨

@Punches they've done it 3 times specifically. At first I just shut it & said nothing but the fact that it's happened before is why I'm considering telling them now 😂

@ChiefJustWalks I do not imagine they would get upset if you mentioned it.
Maybe instead of instructing them they need to shut it, just ask why it is often left open. Maybe someone has been snooping around in their car.

@Punches There actually are some dudes who break into cars around here too. I ran them off once & they've been gone since but it's only been a few months since then
