Bring back the bird

This time is like the period of mechanised destructive darkness in a fantasy series, whereby the stout defenders of a stamped-out goodness must go on a quest to release and restore the Blue Bird that underpins all that is good, true, beautiful, and worth preserving.

And then beat Elon Musk beyond senselessness with a large gold brick.

I like the X. It goes good with his other projects like SpaceX
@GJOFJ3 a brand like Twitter is bigger than the ego of any current petulant activist owner, if he wants to make it into something completely different and make it fit "his other projects" he should've just built a competitor rather than take a big steaming dump on an iconic brand that had nothing to do with Musk's affluenza ego

At this point he should either just shut it down for good or sell it to people who would be a better fit to restore it to its iconic glory that he has tried to erase

Twitter and Musk are and have always been like oil and water, and I'm not sure his adolescent ego even blinds him to that historical reality, all his posturing aside

@BlueGreenGrey. I like it better now than before
The billionaires own the chat. X you out! Nothing the people can do, since they're privatized, not public.
this is the beginning of the end? or will all the lemmings just jump

I've never had much fondness for Twitter, but it's pretty clear by this point that he either doesn't know what he's doing or just doesn't give a shit about what happens to the site.
In case Musk permanently destroys Twitter, you should sign up for Jack Dorsey's Bluesky ... I got my invite code about a month ago, not sure if there is still a waiting list or not.

Something I like is that they already have a handful of "artbots" like the ones I always liked on Twitter before Musk took a petulant dump all over it:

@SandWitch Other than spaceflight-interested people, SpaceX only makes the news when something explodes. Which for SpaceX is good because it means they have an extremely high number of successful launches, and for EM is bad for twitter because explosion is what he's currently doing to his increasingly worthless company.

I loathe social media (other than SW of course!) and yet I feel incredibly sad and outraged by this
