Nobody was able to speak totally freely, because Twitter had a terms of service, and still will. Everyone got banned for violating the TOS, Conservatives were just the only ones that cried about it because they're snowflakes.

That might just be the single dumbest statement I’ve ever read on SW. I don’t usually use this word, but if you believe that then you are incredibly stupid. And an example of why the education system here is broken.

@BohemianBoo really? Come on. The biggest ban handed out was over “disinformation”. Even CNN, MSDNC, ABC, NBC, NYT and others are acknowledging their disinformation affected the 2020 election. Just stop. Their accounts weren’t banned or suspended by their lies and cover ups. You probably weren’t even old enough to vote in 2020.

So do you have any evidence that Conservatives were unfairly banned? Like do you have any examples where someone didn't break TOS, but was still banned?

@BohemianBoo like uhm dude there’s totally like, uhm President Trump was banned over disinformation, but 100+ CNN, MSDNC, NYT , ABC, NBC, CBS and others employees who called Hunter’s laptop Russian disinformation without even investigating it. President Trump suspended, multiple times, eventually banned. That’s one.

18 months later they finally have to admit it. And Elon is taking them to task.

@JesseInTX No, Trump was banned for inciting violence. He actually should have been banned much earlier, but because he's rich and powerful, he got a pass. If anything, Twitter's problem is that they cater to elitists like Trump. Thankfully, they realized after 1/6 that he was going to far with the Big Lie.
And it's only certain disinformation that goes against TOS. There are flat-earthers on Twitter because management has decided that's a harmless form of disinformation. But covid conspiracy theories, they rightly deem harmful.

So, any actual example of double standards when it comes to bans?

Which of those "multiple news agencies" broke the terms of service? Remember, getting something wrong is not disinformation, plus only disinformation deemed dangerous went against TOS.

Disinformation is also not reporting something and blaming it on an entity you know conspired against another. When you start paying your own bills and taxed we can talk more.

And you keep bringing up disinformation, but only specific disinformation goes against Twitter TOS.

The opinions of someone who had never had to pay his own way or his own bills do not matter to me. There are hundreds of conservatives who have been banned or censored while libs like you were able to pass on lies without repercussions. You and your ilk are just upset that will be changing.
