Network Issues on Similar Worlds

Hello,

For several minutes, all our servers were very slow and unresponsive, due to a network outage.
(everything is ok with the servers and with your data)

It appears to be a wider issue, not just impacting Similar Worlds.

Our network team is currently looking into this.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

EDIT - This issue may be resolved now. We are still monitoring.

UPDATE May 8 - We're having problems again, unfortunately. We're actively looking at what we can do about this.

just a thought... why does SW tell me i am off line, when it is clear to me, and to other sites i am logged into, that i am not?

it is a very annoying message.

please change it.

@Yulianna It's a standard message that all websites use, its making you aware of the issue, and your own personal connection is what you should check first. If it doesn't apply to your situation, you can just ignore it.

@SumKindaMunster i know it is a standard message from SW, but this is the only site where i have experienced it while i have been on line.

it does not make me aware of any issue, other than SW cannot recognise my status.

basically, it says, you can't connect and it's your own fault cos you're not on line.

which is patronising nonsense, because i am on line.

the wording of the error message should be changed.

@Yulianna Ok, well my point was that all sites use the same message whether or not the issue is on your end or somewhere else. It's not exclusively a SW thing. I don't see why they would change it since it is SOP for all internet sites.

@Yulianna not the only site that does it. Just most other sites don't check.

Wording could be done differently yet probably not a priority. Just some place holding javascript to be changed at some future date.

@Yulianna I agree that that message isn't the best. We'll change it so that it says something like "either you're offline, or we're having a problem in our side", or similar.
