I kicked the habit when I was pregnant for the first time, and I never resumed smoking.

Although I have to admit I sometimes feel a strong urge to smoke, even though I've been a non-smoker for two decades, a bit like a dry drunk. 😐

I've given up giving up in case this happens to me.

@JonUK41 Yes it's true, the nicotine addiction is still present, I can feel it. Especially after drinking alcoholic beverages. And I know, for sure, if I smoked just one cig, I'd start chain smoking again. So, in a sense, it's only one cigarette I must not smoke: the next one.
