Is smoking resin from the pipe (when one runs out of weed) even worth it?

I tried it once when I was 18 at the time. I must say...it wasn't just any Resin. It was of the best Resin I've ever had and me and my old friend went home struggling to walk and fell off some ditches. Our eyes are whacked
