@MarineBob Many years ago, I went to a cigar bar in Kansas City. They had a small humidor, and I picked out the Makers Mark cigar, which I had never tried before. I bought it, but I had a dickens of a time getting that red plastic off of the tube. I asked the bartender for help, and she tried various bar implements , to no avail. Finally she went into the kitchen and came out with a big butcher knife, and she managed to cut it open.
So I went into the smoking room with my cigar and my beer, and I noticed a sign on the wall, saying there would be a $5 charge for smoking a cigar not bought on the premises.
When I left, I told the bartender that I laughed when I saw that sign. She was puzzled. I said, "You KNOW I bought that cigar here!" 😂
@DrWatson here the cigar bar is strictly members, as people are always trying to ban smoking in public. My first maker's mark I threw on the ground and it opened right up
