I went on for years and years to mum about smoking and teaching me. I mean, I wouldn’t have known how to start, but she eventually agreed...

We sat down one day, lighter and a packet of cigarettes between us, astray on the table....and she proceeded to teach me.

Must admit, I was pretty crap to begin with, but with patience and trial and error, I got it.

These day, it’s nice to sit down with mum and have a cigarette and a chat...
