I Do Not Smoke

I never want to offend those who do, but I find smoking absolutely disgusting. The smell is gag worthy, the affects it has is disgusting. It stains walls, clothes, furniture, nails, your teeth. I just absolutely hate it, but I won't hate a person for smoking. To each their own, but I wish they'd also respect others around them. Yes you smoke, but you don't have to blow smoke in my face.

Living in the UK, I noticed a dramatic change when smoking in enclosed public spaces was banned - some people stopped asking if it was ok to smoke next to me and my children when we were sitting on a bench in the open air, they felt it was their right to smoke where it was legal, and anyone who didn't like it could go inside ...😓

It's not so bad now, and if I'm talking to a friend outside and they light up, I move so I'm not getting it blown in my face, and I stand a little further away! They all know I don't smoke - most of my friends don't smoke either, so I'm mostly ok - but just a couple of my friends do smoke, and they're such lovely people I wouldn't dream of dumping them just because they're human chimneys!!😅

And they don't light up at all if I have one of my kids with me, they're far too considerate!😇 Thankfully ...🙃
