Do you or don't you?

My mother started smoking at fourteen and still smokes now at seventy three, my dad gave up rolling his own cigarettes at fifty and he's seventy five. So is it genetics? If my dad had continued to smoke would he still be here? Who knows? I never smoked because it never appealed to me, but my husband smokes cigars and even though I hate this habit, it smells better.

I use to smoke heavily but quit many years ago.

@RuyLopez Good for you, not easy though. The cravings can still resurface sometimes, or so my dad told me.

@Eclecticallysound I still crave a good smoke when I drink or sometimes in the morning with the first cup of coffee. I tried to quit several times but it finally stuck. I used patches to help. At one point I had like 3 patches on at the same time because I was just slapping them on left and right.... 🫨
