Having Narcan vending machines means it is okay to do drugs

My price for a routine monthly maintenance contract. five grand. I bid the jobs but don't get them.
Yep. In Seattle, they have areas for iv drug users to "shoot up safely." Law enforcement looks the other way. There are resources in the area who carry narcan in the event of an OD. As a result, the dominoes tumble.

Because the laws against illegal drug use aren't enforced, it attracts drug users. The drug users attract drug dealers. The dealers attract narco terrorists. Addicts rarely have money, so crime increases. Theft, burglary, shoplifting, etc. are labeled as "survival crimes." But assaults, rape, murder have spiked along with it. All by design.

@MarineBob Currently I am in a prohibition state, thankfully legal rec will never get passed here, I don't imbibe anyways because it would spike my blood pressure due to a heart valve leak.
