Personally I don't think people should experiment with marijuana until 18 or older.
I think young brains need time to develop properly without the influence of drugs. Drugs make it too easy to do impulsive and silly things.
But since adolescence is often a time of experiment and rebellion, I doubt many parents will ever have much luck trying to prevent or control it. You'd virtually have to take them hiking in wilderness to get away from potential sources.

@hartfire The rational part of a teens brain isn't fully developed until age 25 and up. That's why teens are often high risk when driving. You're right, using drugs at a young age is a bad idea.
