I know of someone who was probably laced but maybe didn't know it. Maybe they did. This is their second time in the mental hospital because they were accusing people of different things that didn't make sense.

I understand that schizophrenia can be induced by drugs.

Schizophrenia is based on delusion; acid (LSD) does that
@Pfuzylogic LSD is a hallucinogen,
but it doesn't cause schizophrenia.
If a person is already a schizophrenic, LSD triggers a psychotic episode.
It's also not good for people with anxiety disorders.
Some people definitely should not take it.

LSD amplifies whatever is in the mind.
In my case, it only makes sense perceptions more vivid - I get no hallucinations whatsoever. Same with ayahuasca and mushrooms.
Something about the way my brain works just doesn't produce hallucinations.
Even though I have a good imagination, formerly as an artist and now as a writer.
The circumstances can make a huge difference.
Ideally one should be in nature, in a safe environment, with someone who is straight (has not taken the drug) but has experience with it. They are there to help if anything goes wrong.
Before taking it, one should set a goal as to what one hopes to experience.
Mine was always, "may I experience reality as it truly is."
It is not addictive.
Under the guidance of a trained therapist it can help a person develop insight and thus heal emotional issues - although I'm sure this would apply only to certain types of problems, certainly not all.

@hartfire I am not used to others responding to my response with any level of expertise in schizophrenia and LSD. That seems to be a rather complex subject which I have had some graduate level experience in. Are you a doctor that diagnoses addiction or is this your opinion.
You have now provoked my interest.
I am Christian and interested i. teal science and don’t agree at all with some of the theoretical sciences such as big banging.
@Pfuzylogic I've had a lifelong interest in psychology, inc. studying it at U.N.E.
Telephone counselling at Lifeline.
Have met and spoken with most types over the years.
Am now 66.
Am an atheist and very much pro science and evolution.

I don't argue with people about their beliefs and values,
however I do love to understand why people hold the beliefs and values they have, and how those support their quality of life.

When i saw that you didn’t like my response. You looked familiar.
Didn’t we have a discussion on beliefs previously?
