I Hate Drugs
Hazel
The streetlight fr<x>amed in shadow light
A gaunt and hollow face,
The cold rain fell and yet she stood,
In this godforsaken place.
In years before in college too,
Her smile charmed many men,
The battle now surely raged,
A battle she couldn’t win.
The cars came by one by one,
An incessant stream of lust,
The woman leaning in the car,
To feed the wolf she must.
The winds blows light this sunny day,
He comes to water….to save,
The newly planted flowers bloom
Upon her unmarked grave.
