Not me. They make me mental. I avoid painkillers even as much as possible.
ZenKitzune · F
@Paliglass so you do do them
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@ZenKitzune pain killers? If I can avoid them no but two months ago I had a back tooth pulled out so I had to have some.

Other drugs no. Occasionally anti - biotics. I had anti-biotics about 2 years ago squirted into my ear because I have exzama in my ear. But that was the last time I had anti-biotics.

Haven't took Street drugs for coming up 20 years.

@Paliglass Drugs are drugs, there are many more harmful legal ones than some of the illegal ones. I'm not in agreement with people who say they don't do drugs, my point is that everyone does.
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@ZenKitzune yea, you're right. I'd like to stop having coffee but I'm reliant on it. Omg I'm a drug addict 😭
ZenKitzune · F
@Paliglass Coffee is encouraged in society because it makes us more productive lol..I don't think most people realise they are addicted to anything though.
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@ZenKitzune I know but I'm still a drug addict. And I'm addicted to chocolate psychologically.
ZenKitzune · F
@Paliglass so long as it doesn't encourage you to rebel against societal constructs you're safe lol
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@ZenKitzune I don't care about society, I care about my stupid brain chemistry lol

@Paliglass I just had my morning routine of a large sweet tea🤤 I'm a drug addict😁
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@SW-User yep, caffeine and sugar. But as coldchild said it's fine because they're societally accepted and the people in power wants us on some drugs. But yeah, you're a drug addict too. We should start a caffeine and sugar anonymous (CASA) group 😂
ZenKitzune · F
@Paliglass careful guys, some teen died of a “caffeine-induced cardiac event causing a probable arrhythmia” after consuming a mountain dew, large latte and an energy drink within the space of two hours..caffeine can be quite dangerous in large amounts..stick to weed if I were you :)
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@ZenKitzune oh. That's terrible. I will tell my children. Thanks. I don't let them have caffeine till their 12-13 so I better tell them.

Weed, no. I go psychotic. If I had to take it for medical reasons then maybe if its worth the side effects it gives me. But otherwise, unfortunately, no.
ZenKitzune · F
@Paliglass Yeah I was surprised too, my daughter has just turned 13 and she loves coffee, I will definitely be warning her and hiding it now.
ZenKitzune · F
@Paliglass and that sucks about the weed, i quite enjoy it now and then because I can't touch alcohol for health reasons.
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@ZenKitzune I can have a little drink now and then. I'd swap you though lol
ZenKitzune · F
@Paliglass I don't regret not being able to drink, I've seen it ruin lives including that of my dad.

@Paliglass I like it! I'll be CASA member #002 and you'll be member #001 since you are the founder. Lol. The unfortunate reality is that everything that we put into our bodies are ladened with some sort of drug of some kind. Even including the air that we breathe is filled with toxins. There is no escape or ways to prevent it. Even sex is a drug because it releases oxytocin in your body and that is a natural painkiller. I seriously need to overdose on oxytocin. I feel crappy. My tea wasn't strong enough.
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@ZenKitzune weed caused me big problems. I've seen alot of people become very lazy and not live full lives because of being constantly stoned. So I don't really regret it or miss it.

It's a moderation thing really with all drugs. They need to be used carefully whether mainstream like sugar or hardcore like opiates (as in medical use, probably recreational use is pretty much always a bad idea). Even the over use of antibiotics is a problem.
ZenKitzune · F
@Paliglass well yeah it comes down to having an addictive personality and all that really means is having a bunch of pain that you can't cope with. It isn't the drug that's the root problem but what the drug is covering.

I think we really need to look at the way we are categorising drugs, as legal ones are damaging people in an unhindered way because they are seen as acceptable to use. Not all illegal drugs are bad and not all legal drugs are good.
