Each state has its own laws as is. Federal laws are unnecessary.

Heck Trump reduced the classification of marijuana this year. While other states didn't.

The federal reduction made not one bit of difference.

I don't use drugs. At all. And marijuana has been perfectly legal for over a decade here.

I see no point in even having such federal drug laws, when the states can do as they wish.

I'll repeat. This state marijuana is perfectly legal, for a whole decade! I once had a marijuana farm right next to my place. No federal law enforcement stopped it. It was plain as day in the open.

Therefore the issue falls upon what state you're in and each of their respective laws.

You want stricter laws? Talk to your own state legislators. Maybe they'll up your taxes to pay for the enforcement.

@ALAVATAR Not the point of my own statement. You do have multiple pole choices that just simply don't fit.

Why are you attempting to focus the pole on only your choices?

Why bother with a pole at all, if this is only about your opinions?

I'm pointing out the reality of the situation. Not wishful thinking.
I really don't like this whole constitutional issue. Which is the reality. You want change? Then change the reality of the situation.

It simply can not happen any other way.

Heck I not a fan of Trump and even he has lessed the category. Why? So the States can make the determination!

From Trump's point of view spending federal money on law enforcement for drugs is ridiculous. And even my conservative half brother would agree with that. He has as much himself decades ago. Decades before Trump was even a factor.

I never agreed with my half brother either! This is a states rights issue that needs to change! You simply can not have states rights preempt federal laws. It's undemocratic on the federal level!

And that would make everything consistent, far more than just drug enforcement. States rights take away power from the people as a whole country.

@DeWayfarer What are you talking about? The options cover multiple positions. And each person can vote twice. Ofcourse it's not going to have every nuanced answer, with 50 options. That's not even possible.

The problem is you. You're sore and hateful because of your disdain law and order and desire to watch others suffer who you villianize, which is half the people out there. Your tendency is to defend the wrong, undeserving or outright evil. You don't care about the effects that the drugs have on people and the community, including the deaths of many users! Your concern never goes beyond the virtue signal. In other words you're a wicked person.

The interesting thing about this is that I'm actually an opiate addict and have been for 25 years. However, I'm not selfish and base every belief or postion I have on what would make things easier or better for myself. Most people, don't care about anything other than what makes life easier for them. Don't try to call me a liar. I'll prove what I've said with firsthand knowledge about the drug world. Current local prices, drug lore, information that only those involved have knowledge of.

Yea, goes to show how much you know. You are typical leftist group thinker. Full of assumptions, jaded, hateful and always overestimating your intelligence.

you left off "The politicians forgot what happened when alcohol was made illegal and how it made criminals rich and powerful"

It's like censorship on freedom.

@FloorGenAdm Yea, that's all well and nice about freedom to put what you choose into your own body. However, the problem with that is the issues that exist when people can't responsibly handle certain subtances.

The communities where the substances proliferate end up being the collateral damage. The effects of which are suffering, misery and death.
