I Remember School Showers

Ours were just an option. Most people didn't take them because they thought it was disgusting or embarrassing. I did a few times in middle school, simply because I was really sweaty and wanted to smell nice for the rest of the day. Especially if I took a shower in the morning. But I only washed my body, not hair.

It was compulsory for us, and I hated it as I entered high school, and the water was frequently cold as well after we had been freezing on the playing field.

Why do people let athletes out when it's cold? You could've gotten sick.

@KandiGhostcat: It was to toughen us up I think lol, I wouldn't say we were athletes though. Indoors was not much better wearing gym knickers in front of boys

@lynnsw68: It's fine. In Japan school girls have to wear those short gym shorts for P.E. too. Some people think they look adorable, as well as the gym uniform.

@LynnSW68 Our showers were compulsory and always cold. That was O.K. in the summer or if we had been working hard in the gym but if we had been outside in the winter it could be a bit tough.
