Showers after PE

We undressed at our benches and then formed a line at the entrance to the shower area, often shivering with cold. Our teacher checked off our names against the register when we came out. If she thought we did not look wet enough we had to rejoin the line and do it again 😞

In 7th grade we began having showers after PE class.

Our “Coach Calvin’s” office looked directly into the shower area. If you didn’t shower on a particular day he came out and berated you.

Such bull shit.
