@YMITheWayIM When I lived in an apartment my phone went out and I had to go to a pay phone and call the phone company. The service man came over and started checking things. He told me that he & his wife had bought land in a rural area and they had their home custom-built. He said he told the builder that he wanted steel door frames around the steel outer doors instead of wood. But the builder put wood frames instead and he got tired of waiting to move in and moved in with them that way. One day his wife was alone and taking a bath and heard the front door get kicked in. A burglar was in the home and ransacking the house taking things. Fortunately their neighbor saw what was happening and called the police or sheriff and they got there quickly and chased the man and arrested him. That man told me I ought to get a gun and take safety lessons on how to use it because of what happened to his wife.
