You ever be showering and your vision starts going fuzzy and you have to sit down so you don’t pass out and fall?

Or is that just me?

I did before getting a shower chair. My blood pressure is pretty low and heat lowers that further.
@NerdyPotato I believe the combo of more salt and more fluids can raise blood pressure in a safe way.
@ElwoodBlues in theory, yes. When it's as low as ours, that's not sufficient though.

@ElwoodBlues that’s what my mother has to do, she has orthostatic hypotension

She needs to drink an insane amount of water and up her salt intake. She also takes midodrine

Yes, several times but I tend to stay until the steam gets to me but I have heart problems. I can’t go in a sauna☹
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
It's never happened to me bet I have a friend who it happens to. She has actually fainted in the shower more than once so now she sits down in the shower to she doesn't hurt herself
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Yeah before I went on BP meds. You should get checked.
degraded · 22-25, F
I fainted in shower once. My vision did not have the chance to go blurry. I was standing, fine, and suddenly blacked out
@degraded
That’s scary! Did you ever find out what happened?
MommaBear · 26-30, F
@degraded I did that once during a run and woke up to several people standing over me telling me not to stand up and to wait until EMS got there
degraded · 22-25, F
@Telcontar I was shaken but later thought nothing of it.

I came through shower upon fainting and landed on floor. I remember the flow of blood resurging to my head

I got a whole new magic trick... walking down the street and fainting/collapsing - because that's what all the cool kids do...

Better still, when it happens, I can't communicate in my own mother tongue.
SouthernGuy1987 · 36-40, M
Nope never experienced this. Could be heat exhaustion and dehydration
Jayghost · 51-55, M
No it's happened to me before too. Very strange.
pdockal · 56-60, M
Can't say that i have
Did you have the water toooo hot ?????
QCDog2659 · 61-69, M
It has happened to me.
MommaBear · 26-30, F
@QCDog2659 it’s the craziest feeling
QCDog2659 · 61-69, M
@MommaBear Yes.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
Get your heart checked please.
MommaBear · 26-30, F
@Starcrossed I’ve been suspecting pots syndrome but they refuse to check for it and just tell me to add more salt but I’ve been recently diagnosed with broken heart syndrome
SwampFlower · 31-35, F
Low blood pressure?
MommaBear · 26-30, F
@SwampFlower I’ve been suspecting pots syndrome but they refuse to check for it and just tell me to add more salt but I’ve been recently diagnosed with broken heart syndrome
@MommaBear the refuse to check for pots but did check for broken heart syndrome? Lol. I feel like if they were able to diagnose broken heart syndrome they would be able to diagnose/rule out pots too at the same time ? Something's fishy
