Ladies I need your help. Anyone remove dip nails on their own? What's the easiest way to do this?

My cousin surprised me with getting my nails done a while back, but now they need removed and I don't want to pay 30 to have them removed but they are so thick I don't think just acetone will work. Help! In hindsight I should have considered they would charge to remove them
