Please give me some suggestions.
I called my regular dentist, to make an appointment to fix my front tooth that has just a small cavity in it. The very next tooth to it, will be getting a root canal the 13th of this month. I only wanted to see what they would charge me to fix that very front tooth and I was told it would be $227 just for the full mouth of x-rays. I haven't had that done for a while so I wanted to have that taking care of. That does not include fixing the tooth!
They insist on doing them both at the same time....only after I have had the root canal done. They will not do the very front tooth and the one next to it, unless I have them both fixed at the same time which comes to $1518 for the crown and $227 for a full mouth of x-rays and that doesn't even cover the cost to fix that other tooth, and that all comes to $1,745. I have no idea yet how much the endodontist charges me to do that root canal. That is so outrageous to charge $227 for x-rays.
My gosh, that takes up my whole $4,000 coverage for the year from my dental insurance. This just makes me sick. I've got to find a dentist that doesn't charge an arm and a leg! And I was told that I can't go to Alton Dental School unless I get a referral from my dentist. I never used to have to do that. My gosh this system is so crooked. I don't know what to do now, because I've got to go to Dr Frazier on the 13th and have this root canal. And only then will they put the crown on it and fix the other front tooth right by it. I don't know what I can do. There HAS to be a cheaper dentist somewhere. Can you imagine $227 for a full mouth x-ray? That is so outrageous. How do people afford to take care of their teeth??!! 😡😱😭
