Quite true. This is the only way the military should spend our tax dollars. Recruit every young American who wants to serve after high school. Educate them as far as they want to go to pursue trade and professional careers. Compulsory military service for those who are unemployed to keep them off the streets. No weapons training. The US military repurposed for dealing with protecting security of national borders and natural disaster relief. No fighting of foreign wars.
