@TryingtoLava omg yes it sounds terrible now. I hear stuff in skate vids and snowboard vids and even the mountain bike videos and it’s terrible. I think the autotune trend was the beginning of the end of any talent in the genre. I don’t understand the lil peep type of emo rap etc. again I hear way more than I want to lol

@TryingtoLava if you are into Bay Area hip hop it seems like you just have to support anyone else who gets popular in any sense.
I remember being in middle school and being into Digital Underground and I had an older friend who introduced me to Del the Funkyhomosapien and Heiroglyphics (sp?) and I didn’t mind that stuff. But that’s probably the only stuff that I bought and listened to back when I was 20-24 yo. I had a bf that was into music of all kinds back then. So I got exposed to a wide variety. I had a few friends who were from the east coast in college who introduced me to their favorites like Gangstar and KRS1 and I liked their tastes and styles too.
