No need to remember
IM5688 · 61-69, M
My first wife left me, telling me she was going to the store. Took the car and never came back. Left me with our 3 month old son. A few days later, she came back and wanted to trade the car for our son. I politely told her where she could go. I never saw or spoke to her again.
Although I was angry, upset, hurt and devastated at the time, in time it passed and I moved on. With the help of my parents, I raised my son and later remarried. Never heard from my ex again.

I can’t understand how someone could do this. No matter how hard things get I’m always open and honest about my thoughts and feelings, how can you form a relationship otherwise?

He sold the car and left. Oof, that’s rough.
Worst I got was a text from a girl that said “see your emails”, and she had sent me an email of all the reasons she couldn’t see me anymore.

Hopefully you were able to sue for child support?
thepastbehindme · 46-50, FNew

She made a promise which she never kept only to buy herself enough time to cut and run. She vanished last week.
thepastbehindme · 46-50, FNew
@ImNotHungry I'm sorry to hear that. Stay strong!
You are better off
What do you think he should have done instead ¿

@thepastbehindme well it seems like you have so much time in your life to have the luxury of depression.
What you mentioned above only a small part of what you didn't like and expected it to be different.

@Royricky09 depression is NOT A LUXURY, it's an illness.
Even famous people had it and died because of that disease.
I'm trying to cope here with all the misgivings and mishaps.

Sounds like you dodged a bullet.
