I think it's all about personality and someone's hobbies
and if they are the ideal best friend, and just let the friendship solidify, it's up them to decide if they like you more

the weirdo film director John Waters, had an excellent piece of advice, it's all about their bookshelves. If you don't like what's on their bookshelf, don't ever sleep with them.

You just need two people who, understand that most bonds and relationships are due to selfishness
and it's a long wait to find truly neat and pleasant people out there
