I Am Single

I have been single for a couple of years. Have since joined some singles' events and have joined two matchmaking agencies some time back. There were a couple of guys who were interested in me but I don't see it working out with them.

Call me picky but if I don't like the guy, I'm not going to force myself to pretend to like him, to give him false hopes that I want a relationship with him. And as depressing as it is to see everyone around me getting married, I would rather stay single than to be with someone who is unsuitable.

The worst relationship I had was being with a guy who abused me both physically and mentally. And because I was young and naive at that time, I thought our love can prevail all obstacles. I thought he would change. Long story short, he didn't and the abuse got worse. I also end up with bad debts with many banks trying to help him. So this could be a reason I'm more careful with whom I chose to be with. Because now, I know better than to ignore my gut feeling about a specific guy.

So 2 more of these arranged dates. Tbh, I'm actually a lil sick of going on these dates.
