I Am Single

To all of you who know, and to those that don't know, I recently got out of a relationship - a sort of trial relationship. I learnt a lot about myself and the nature of relationships whilst I wasn't single lol and I would like to share them.

1. I am a commitment-phobe. I don't know why. I just.. No. Relationships.. Nah. I'm good lol. Leading on to my second point...

2. I actually really like being single. I've told so many people about how awesome being single is but all anyone ever wants to do is be with someone else. I had the same freedoms whilst in a relationship but for some reason I felt restricted. It was so weird. You should appreciate the single life and embrace it. It may not last forever and a lot of people really miss it ya know ;D

3. Relationship statuses don't matter. The whole reason for trialling this relationship was to find the correct label fitting the bond I shared with this guy. But who cares? We may not know what we are in terms of a specific label but we're happy with wherever it is and we're both on the same page in terms of expectations and agreements. So who really cares? It's personal anyway. Even if they care, they shouldn't.

4. Don't rush things. I'm glad I didn't do this. It would probably have ended up really badly xD Taking things slowly is important in regards to figuring out what you want and where it's heading. I know lots of couples do rush things and it works differently for every couple but I think it's good to take things slowly and talk about things.

5. Communication is key. I say this to all people I know who are in relationships. I can't emphasis it more. Talk about things! Then you'll move forward in a happy and healthy way. Take on problems together. Be a team.

That's all for now folks. Thanks for reading :)
