I won’t use self-checkout. That’s what they offer if you need something early in the morning during the weekdays at the one closest to the house. All I needed was half-and-half one morning for our coffee. I asked if there was a cash register open and they told me it was self-check until 8 a.m. Told them I didn’t use self-checks anywhere. The cashier overseeing them replied “It’s easy, I’ll show you how to use it.” Told her that I wasn’t get paid to check out my own groceries and would go to Homeland down the street if it comes down to that at Walmart. So she scanned it for me and I paid her.
I shop at Aldi sometimes for canned foods and produce and Winco for fresh meat and other things as often as I can. Walmart is ripping people off with prepriced packaged meats, shorting the weights by several pounds for example, and also on boxes of GV pasta and shorting length on precut & prepriced pieces of fabrics which can really ruin a sewing project.
