Amazon..returns.... refunds.

And hours of chats!! Not only is it damn difficult to get to where you can chat with an Amazon associate. Chatting with 3 separate ones is enough to make you pull your own hair out!!
Bought a set of greenhouse panels. It arrived incomplete. Amazon sent a replacement and the Delivery guy was supposed to pick up the bad one. Didn't happen. So I had more orders coming and arm wrestled another Associate who assured me the next delivery guy would pick it up. Of course I'm not there when they show up. Packages I was expecting were delivered. Return package not picked up again.
Ok....Chat with another Associate. Hey I'll just take it to a UPS store. Send me a return code. Get the code. Return the package And Amazon sends a refund. Now I have a free set of greenhouse panels?
Apparently not I just got an email saying the return is due by November 2nd or I will be charged. November? I Bought the original set at the end of September.
Back to the Amazon Associate Chat. ..

That is appalling inefficient, sloppy service by Amazon.

Making it so difficult to contact them, and making no sense when you do, is probably deliberate, to deter any come-back.

The frightening thing is the possibility of these very few, giant, American and Chinese on-line retailers destroying all competition. Becoming the sole suppliers of almost everything would allow them not to care at all about the range, choice, quality, price and value of goods, nor the quality of their own service.
