I would not be as patient as you
I would do similar to what you did, empathy but with a limit
I wouldn't care what happens in her life, business is business
I would not pressure since she makes the last call
I get stressed reading this. I don't buy from strangers for this reason.

I bought a top from a seller on Facebook a week or so ago. Since then she showed me her car broke down. And I said to not worry. And let a few days go. Today I messaged her and asked if the top can be sent til next week and she said yes but that she has a lot on her plate atm.

I kindly but firmly said "Next week will work then" to mark that it has went far too long from I paid her and she haven't sent me my item.

Even if I understand life circumstances comes in the way, it takes 5 minutes to pack a top, write my adress on top, go to her local grocery store where they ship parcels. Done. Should take max 30 minutes of her busy day.

Usually these things go smoothly and mega fast so I don't think she's a scammer I just think she's become comfortable with procrastinating it.

How would you deal with this situation?

Put that in your feedback, if Facebook has that. So people know how she is and what to expect.
I’ll cancel this transaction, unless it’s something rare and special.

@Nick1 I will give til next week like promised. If she's making excuses after that. I will contact the groups she sells on and show our convo.
