Name a thing that you don't like about online shopping?

@DeWayfarer Isn't online shopping just an update of old-fashioned mail ordering using a printed catalog, such as Lillian Vernon in America?

@helenS my point is that it's a concept. Not a real thing..

Those catalogs you still had to write real checks or get real money orders or something real.

@DeWayfarer These days it's Amazon for me; they deliver really fast (I'm on Amazon Prime), and I pay with my credit card in advance.

@helenS I stopped ordering online ruffly 6 years ago. Haven't needed it.

@helenS kind of. Very small city and out of the main traffic. Not a freeway here in the whole valley.

BTW not just the USA! I live in Southern California! The car capitol of the world! 😆

@DeWayfarer When I was in the US the one element of the American way of life I didn't get was their fixation on cars. I believe most people in the US lose their virginity in a car, and are conceived in a car.

@helenS when I was just a baby, I was also purposely thrown out of a car. And for my safety at that.

@helenS head on collision was going to happen. Mom herself got badly hurt. The driver died. I would have died. She was holding me in her lap. No safety stuff back in the early 60s in any cars.
