@SomeMichGuy Nice try, it's the same bread and same brand. Now the conditions of the store in climate might matter some here. Also I wonder how the supply chain works now, at my work (printing) we know which customers are pickier and our quality standards are set by who we are selling to.

@SW-User Yes, I assumed it was the same bread & brand as I said before.
Some people have taken deep draughts of the advertising Kool-Aid which associates "more expensive" with "better". It feels better to buy foods from an "upscale" grocer...a tag which you offered up. It would be interesting to buy bread from your preferred venue and others and label them variously, and see if your perception of the bread differed by where you thought it was sourced...
That's all I'm saying, but it depends upon the brand and product being the same at different retailers.
