When we were little my grandpa would take my sister and I to the park every weekend and sometimes we would take some snails

we'd bring them home and show our mum and she was always disgusted lol I don't even remember what happened to them afterwards like where did we release them

When I was in third grade, I was picking small yellow-shelled snails and kept them in a small terrarium on our balcony. 😆 Well, once they escaped and mom wasn't exactly happy.
