A part of tourism for me is visiting local supermarkets

(not because I'm cheap and want to avoid eating overpriced things at restaurants or anything like that) but there's something so fun about looking at all the weird snacks or trying to spot something that they lack.

What is in the market oftentimes made for business (profit) “it’s too bland” having bad price? I got served a cold 30$meal. The opportunity cost of having warm and savoury Chinese food for as low as 8$.

@Sepia it's mostly international cuisines that are cheaper, I mean I can go to northern Europe and find cheap Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian, Turkish food etc but I don't care about trying them there, I can find them in my country. I want to try the cuisine of each country I visit but it often costs too much for what they offer.
