EBay is doing away with PayPal. Certainly not a good decision in my opinion. [I Love Ebay]

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
I won’t use it then. PayPal is the only way I’ve shopped on Ebay and now they are ending it and my business.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@cherokeepatti Definitely not happy with that move.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MrBrownstone It’s been a year and a half since I bought anything from Ebay....I guess I can live without it.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@cherokeepatti I’ve been using Etsy

Upon further research, they say customer preference, control and costs but I would assume this move is more motivated in the coming move of a cashless society and the birth of digital currencies. No, I’m not wearing a tin foil hat but rather more a move into the coming future of currency exchanges. Simple or as complicated as that!😊

It is now here. There is no turning back! We are losing all of our freedoms and there are not enough people to care, to fight back. This is what all the programming and brainwashing has led too. Many of us tried diligently to educate and try to stop this but hey, it was bound to happen. The Bible has predicted this, without a doubt. How can any critical thinker deny this premise? They can’t!😊@MrBrownstone
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Oster1 Didn’t know about the Bible part but most people are lazy, mindless drones.
Oster1 · M
Unfortunately, so very true!😔@MrBrownstone

Don't they have a long history of splitting then reuniting depending on which way the wind blows?
Oster1 · M
That was an article I read but more interesting, that would fit the UN’s 2030 Agenda Plan!😊@MrBrownstone
CestManan · 46-50, F
@MrBrownstone as we are about the same age we have seen many things right? So if you look back you'll notice that about every 8 to 12 years they invent some new catastrophe to worry about. 1984, then 1992 was supposed to be the rapture then Y2K, then December 21st 2012, then 2020, and now 2030? It will come and go and nothing will happen. They've been talking about a new world order since you and I were at least attending middle School.

The first time I ever heard the phrase New Order was in 1988 when Testament came out with an album of the same name and I really wanted it.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@CestManan You can look up agenda 21
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
why do you think that is?
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@MrBrownstone likewise 😜
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@DeluxedEdition A woman after my own heart.
Oster1 · M
It’s all about control over consumers and not for them to have anonymity or privacy!😊@DeluxedEdition

Probably not. Not that I shop on eBay much but that was how I use to pay
Candie · F
I agree personally though it might save people from going into debt with their Paypal credit buying anything they ever wanted off of Ebay lol.
Candie · F
@MrBrownstone i'd still prefer ebay i think.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Candie Understood. Awesome you have your own products you sell
Candie · F
@MrBrownstone not really. just a couple patterns on Ravelry.
Oster1 · M
eBay owns PayPal. Hmmm, I have to look into it.😊
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@Oster1 with this being said i still think my hypothesis is correct
Oster1 · M
Absolutely, your hypothesis is correct! Regrettably!😊🌺@DeluxedEdition

Just a serious question, so if you had to have a checking account or maybe savings to use to PayPal, and now it goes directly through your bank, how is eliminating PayPal from eBay an issue? I'm not being smart here I'm just curious
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@CestManan It is safer than using your bank account directly.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@cherokeepatti Does the seller then have your bank info or do they just get a deposit?

Just wondering, how is it safer?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@CestManan they don’t get your bank info and also PayPal will reimburse you if you don’t receive what you ordered....which happened to me one time when I ordered software. Tried to communicate with the seller for 2 weeks and never got a reply. I contacted PayPal and they also sent him messages and he didn’t reply back so they credited the $ back into my checking account
SW-User
Amazon probably paid them to
Oster1 · M
They all are behind this move. PayPal worked too well in protecting the consumer. Cashless society, here we come. At this point, it is now unstoppable!😊🌷@SW-User
curiosi · 61-69, F
Not a good idea at all!
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@curiosi I may no longer sell on there.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
I haven’t bought anything from eBay in a couple years now so....
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MrBrownstone what I liked about it was that they would refund the money if you didn’t receive your order. That happened one time to me and I attempted contacting the seller several times and he didn’t respond. So I let PayPal take over
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@cherokeepatti It’s a further step as you don’t need to tell PayPal. And it applying to only the seller

Oster1 · M
